Gerald R. Pringle Jr. “Jerry” 80, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born March 9, 1941 in Akron to the late Gerald R. and Mary Pringle Sr. Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Garfield High School and was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church for many years. He enlisted in the US Marine Corp for 4 years with an honorable discharge. He worked for the US Postal Service and retired after 50 years of service. He enjoyed golfing with Russ Bud and loved his family. He was generous, kind and a giving man with a robust laugh and a sparkle in his beautiful blue eyes.
Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Pringle and sister, Jeanne Pringle Higgins.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Deanna K. Pringle; sister, Janie Pringle; daughters, Kathleen Cuffe and Mary (Mark) Apicella and John (Susan) Cuffe who was like a son to him; and grandchildren, Stephanie and Gerald Cuffe, and Sal and Deanna Apicella.
Jerry has requested no service be held. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bishop, Dr Makkar, nurse, Rachelle, and all the doctors and nurses at Summa and Wester Reserve Southern Care Hospice, for the wonderful care they gave Jerry.
