Harold Eugene Osborn

Harold Eugene Osborn was greeted by open gates, loving spirits, trumpets sounding and an everlasting choir of angels singing on high, 7 February 2021.  Harold is a native of Akron, Ohio, devote Lutheran, a graduate of Akron University, and a Veteran.   All that knew him or came in contact were touched by a gentle smile and love.  From the neighbors and their pets on walks on Kenilworth Drive, who affectionately referred to him as Oz or Ozie, to the people at a checkout line off Market Street that might receive one of his funny quips as he said thank you.

Memories we share are his love for Barbara, his beautiful singing voice, and the time he gave his son, daughter and six grandchildren.  When we spent time with Harold, we had all of him.  He loved having friends visit, sharing a beer, reading, tending to his yard, and making things better in simple and understated ways.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Barbara Osborn; a beloved brother Bill Osborn; blessed children, John Osborn and Linda Wagner (Osborn); treasured grandchildren, Kara Blomgren (Wagner), Emma Osborn, Maria Osborn, Megan Wagner, Jack Osborn, Jorydn Wagner.  Lastly, Harold is survived by Zoey, a ball loving Boston Terrier carrying the torch of the 7

th

Boston to grace Harold and Barbara with constant love and entertainment.

We will always have Harold in our hearts and ask any memories or memorials be sent in care of the Southern Ohio Veterans Home Volunteer Advisory Committee, 2003 Veterans Boulevard, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. The Veterans, staff and volunteers genuinely cared for him over the years and through his last days.

Our travels have spread us away from our home church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, yet our beginnings of a life of Faith, Hope, and Love will always remain.  Memories of seeing and hearing Harold sing from the choir loft are everlasting.  We are humbled by any memories or memorials that may be sent to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, % Arts at Holy Trinity, 50 N Prospect St, Akron, OH 44304.  It is possible to donate online; an option for designating Arts at Holy Trinity exists at
