Harold “Stumpy” Adam Stump, 84 beloved husband, stepdad, grandfather, uncle and friend, made his ascent to heaven on Friday, December 22, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. Stumpy was born in Bernville, Pennsylvania on March 6, 1939, the son of Viola and Allen Stump.
Stumpy had many hobbies and enjoyed his pets, model cars and watching wrestling with his grandson. He served in the military and worked for Republic Steel until he retired in 2000. He later worked as a crossing guard for Canton City Schools, volunteered for Total Living Center as a delivery driver, and worked as a dishwasher for Bob Evans until 2018, when he hung up his working towel and retired officially.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Janet A. Stump ; grandchildren, Dustin, Toryn, Alana and Ally whom he just adored tremendously.
Stumpy was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Allen; sisters, Janice “Tootie” Amelia Davis, Violet Schulte; brothers, Allen “Tinker” Stump and Kenneth “Sonny” Stump; and his stepdaughter, Tiffany Weisburn.
