Helen Major passed away peacefully on December 9, 2016, five days before her 98th birthday. For 70 years Helen was a devoted wife to her loving husband, “Speedy” (Casimir). She was the proud mother of her son, Bob (Margaret) of Atlanta and Bev (Dale) Roberts of St. Louis; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren gave her much joy. A lifetime homemaker, Helen will always be remembered as an exceptional cook and baker, an avid pinochle, euchre and bingo player, and a devout Catholic.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, grandsons Brian and Greg Major, two sisters and a brother. Besides her children, Helen leaves three grandchildren, Lisa, Andrew, and Lauren, all of St. Louis, six great-grandchildren, special niece Kathy, and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Interment will be a private service at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorials may be made in Helen’s name to her church, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Cuyahoga Falls. Condolences and special memories can be shared with the family at
