Helen Marie Shoulders-Beaver

Helen Marie Shoulders Beaver a resident of Elkins, WV, formerly of Waco, TX, and Orlando and Fort Myers, FL, passed from this life, surrounded by family, on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at the Cleveland Clinic in OH, from an extended illness.  She was 69 years old.

Helen was born December 28, 1950, a daughter of the late Gennis G. and Edith Marie (Cool) Shoulders.  She is survived by daughter, Rhonda Mott and husband Frank Mott of Elkins, WV; three sisters, Phyllis Byrd, Courtland, MS, Willa “Pat” Hamrick, Elkins, WV, and Nancy Dawson of Warren, OH.  Several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Johnson and Frances Bender and brothers, Gennis G. Shoulders, Jr. (Buck) and Wayne Franklin Delano Shoulders (Tony).

Helen was employed and excelled as a barber/hairstylist for most of her years.  She was fun loving, always laughing and joking, making others laugh too.  She will be remembered for enjoying life to the fullest extent and will be missed by all who knew her.  Several lifelong friends still love and remember her fondly.  She will also be missed by her dogs, Chloe and Lilman.

At Helen’s request, her remains were donated to the Human Gift Registry, West Virginia University; in keeping with her wishes there will be no funeral services.
