Jack Andrew Thomas, age 83 of North Canton, OH, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Jack was born on May 31, 1940 in San Bernardino, CA to James and Maefle Thomas. He was a 1957 graduate of Tellico Plains High School. Jack was a veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 in Ft. Hood, TX. He was retired from Asplundh Tree Service. Jack loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Gary Wilfong; brother, Larry Thomas; sister, Diane Blaszczyk; and brother-in-law, Don Frye.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Larry Thomas; brother and sister-in-law, Benny and Wilma Thomas; sister, Judy Frye; sister-in-law, Caroline Thomas; and grandchildren, John Hughes, Jack W. Thomas, and Jayce Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel with his brother, Benny Thomas officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Unicoi Cemetery at a later date.
