Jacqueline Bassin

Jacqueline Bassin, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 6, 2023 from congestive heart failure. Born on December 22, 1943, in North Platte, Nebraska, she spent most of her adult life in the Cleveland area.

After 35 years of service, Jackie retired in 2004 from the United Transportation Union where she forged cherished friendships that lasted her lifetime.

Jackie was known for her sense of humor, generous spirit, and love for her family and friends. An avid sports fan, she found joy in watching and cheering for her favorite teams. One of her most treasured activities was going out to lunch with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Shepherd, mother, Marjorie Shepherd and her brother Ronald Shepherd. She is survived by her son, Scott (Carolyn) Bassin, daughter, Kelly (Bill) Cusack, and grandchildren, Madeleine, Anna, John and William.

Jackie’s warm smile, kind heart, and unforgettable laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, forever held in the hearts of those she touched with her love and friendship.
