James “Jim” Breckel

April 26, 1946 – July 27, 2023

U.S. Veteran James “Jim” Breckel, age 77, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from heart failure. He was born on April 26, 1946 to Katherine (deceased) and Arnold Breckel (deceased) and the middle brother between Michael (deceased) and Donald (deceased). He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janis Breckel; his stepson Scott Mackenna; stepdaughter Kathryn Keckan (Daniel) and was known lovingly as “Papa B” by his two grandchildren Mackenna and William. He is also survived by his niece Alison Gliozzi (Aldo).

Jim served his country in the United States Army. He was an accountant and used his skills to donate his time handling finances for Messiah Lutheran Church in Fairview Park. Jim loved playing cards with his friends, especially Bridge. He will be remembered fondly by all who sat across the table from him.

A memorial service will be held for family members at a later date.
