James Burris Sr

James Burris Sr. lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio, Born January 23rd, 1941; passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on December 20th, 2024.

Jim was a devoted husband and father. He took pride in taking care of his family. Jim was the rock of the family. His kindness touched many. Jim enjoyed spending time with his friends, there wasn't a person he couldn't strike up a conversation with. Jim wore his heart on his sleeve.

Jim loved to bowl, golf, watch Nascar, and take his Harley out to hit the roads with his friends and brothers of North Coast.

Jim is survived by his wife Kathy of 33 years, daughter Lisa (Troy), sons Jason (Megan) and Jimmy (Kim), brothers Pete, Roy (Rose), and sisters Rita (Art), Jean, and Katie. Grandchildren Cody (Ashley), Jessica (Chris), Jase, Brandon, Alex, and Ashley. Great Grandchildren Stella, Spencer, Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews that he loved so much.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Dorothy Burris, and sister Jane.

With Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held January 11th, 2025 at 12pm. The service will be held at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens; 7920 Frank Ave NW, North Canton, OH 44720, and will be held inside the mausoleum.  Condolences and special memories of Jim can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
