James D. Story

James “Jim” D. Story, age 63, passed away on September 2, 2017 after a brief illness, surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his beloved partner Ellen Bowes; loving father of Jason (Katie), Megan Somerville (Dennis), Bryan (Erica), Kristyn (Brian Grooms), Evan (Tiffany); grandfather of Avery and McKenna Story, and Bennett and Nora Somerville; brother of Carol Ann Story (David Parkinson), Peggy Giammarco (Paul); uncle of Kandy Parkinson, Paula Giammarco (Steve Philio), Patrick Giammarco (Joely).

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Bette Story and his wiley dog Max.

Jim was an owner, Vice President of Story Equipment and Sales. He was a volunteer at The Cleveland National Air Show and the Tall Ships Festival.  He was a former tutor for “Seeds of Literacy.”

Jim had lively sense of humor and loved people. He believed in living life to the fullest.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 N. Amber Drive, Brooklyn, Ohio at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 7, 2017.
