Jane Ann Dunn

Jane Dunn, daughter of Jeanne and Andrew Dunn was born August 28, 1958, passed away on June 16, 2024. She grew up in the Firestone Park area of Akron and was a 1976 graduate of Garfield High School. In the late 1970's she worked as a successful jewelers apprentice for Block Brothers jewelers and then for Zales jewelers. Jane also worked for Prudential Bache Securities in downtown Akron in the 1980's. She spent some time traveling and living in Southern California but ultimately decided to return home to be with friends and family.

Those who were fortunate and blessed to have known Jane will always remember her love and compassion for those around her and a big bright smile that would light up the room.

Fun Fact: While working at the school newspaper as a teen in the early 1970's she had the rare opportunity to interview Steven Tyler and Aerosmith at a local venue shortly before they got famous. 

 She is survived by her sister, Starlett Shaffer and her nephew (little brother), Ted Shaffer.
