JANET GANT, 62, departed this life on May 21st 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio, with her family by her side. She was born Sept. 10, 1951, in Dermott, Arkansas, to Rosie L. Gant and Willie Edward Gant. In 1969, she graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Though she spent several years in California, Kentucky, and the State of New Jersey, the majority of her years were spent in Cleveland, OH, where she served as a loving wife, mother and home manager. In her leisure, she enjoyed singing, writing, drawing, puzzles, and good conversation. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for many years. She was preceded in death by her mother Rosie L. Gant Callier, her father Willie Edward Gant, and her sister Debra Ann Gant. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Charles Jordan; her two children, Myron Freeman Jr. (Shawn), and Janeece Freeman Clark; her two sisters, Jewel Gant Callier and Betty Jean Cole; her five grandchildren, Shawn Myron Freeman, Jada Jane Clark, Da-Shawn Michael Saddler Freeman, Dwayne Harrison Clark, and Tamia Lanette Saddler Freeman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
