Jerry Davis

Jerry Davis went home to be with our Lord and Savior on April 24th, 2022 at 7:41 PM, finally free from the suffering of Lewy Body Dementia (LBD). He was the son of the late Terrill S Davis and the late Dorothy G (Freshley) Davis of Lexington Township.

Jerry was a 1965 graduate of Marlington High School and a 1969 graduate of Mount Union College. He also attended Cleveland State University. He taught High School Mathematics at Painesville Harvey High School from 1969 to 1971 and at Waterloo High School from 1971 until 1999 when he retired.

After retirement he worked part-time at Homeworth Fabrication and Machine in Homeworth, Ohio. He also enjoyed spending time on his farm, in the woods, and doing woodworking. He was a member and past officer of the Lexington Ruritan Club, and  a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia L. (Abblett) Davis whom he married August 14th, 1971, children, Jennifer Adkins MD (B. Timothy Adkins) of Toledo, Rebecca Ball DVM (Stephen Birchard, DVM) of Fishers, IN., Benjamin Davis of Homeworth, and Christopher Davis of Grand Canyon, AZ.; grandchildren, Duncan Adkins, Elizabeth Adkins, Stuart Birchard; sister, Janice Davis of Inman, SC.; brother, Brian Davis (Jane) of Ravenna; a niece, nephew and numerous cousins.

Services will be held Friday, April 29th at 4pm, with calling hours 1 hour before at Aldersgate UMC in Alliance. Pastor Gary Bush of Grace Community Church and Pastor Theresa Carter of Aldersgate UMC will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be made to Angels for Animals 4750 West South Range Rd. Canfield, Ohio 44406 or Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr Suite E, Uniontown, OH 44685.
