On June 23,2019 Jesse Melvin Crable left this earthly world at the age of 52. Jesse was born in Canton, Ohio to the late Mary Louise Crable and Richard Torrence Sr. Jesse was an avid fisherman who also loved to grill. Jesse was a loving father and grandfather and shared strong family values with all of his family members. Jesse made friends everywhere he went. He never met a stranger and his heart was golden. To know Jesse was to love him as his family did.
In addition to his mother, Jesse was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary J. Crable, lovingly referred to as Grannie; wife Traci Crable; and son Pierre Drake.
Left to cherish his loving memory are his father, Richard Torrence Sr; fiancé, Laura Kerns Ward and her children, Jay and Jimmy Ward; daughters, Jessica (Christopher) Travis and Chelsi Crable; sisters, Sonya (Willie) Dillard, Jeanette (late Gene Barnes) Crable, and Ricarla Torrence; brothers, Carlief Watson, Sheldon Torrence, and Richard Torrence Jr.; grandchildren, Christian and Carver Travis, CreeVaughn Barrino, Devon Pledgure Jr., and Nova Pledgure; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family of Jesse Crable wish to acknowledge and express deep appreciation for the prayers, kind words, and many acts of kindness and support during this time of sorrow. May God Bless You All.
A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 1-3 at Garaux Hall, 3801 13th St SW with Elder Carlos Morrison presiding, food and fellowship to follow.
