John Francis Cleary

John Francis Cleary passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 12, 2020.  He was born May 30, 1947 to the late James J. and Mary Alice (McCoy) Cleary in Youngtown, OH.  John, also known as Jack to family and friends, was an avid sports fan who loved watching his Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland Indians.  We know he will always continue watching and cheering for them, along with us.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Mary Colleen Magley and Donna J. Jones, and brothers, James J. Cleary Jr. and LeRoy J. Cleary.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving partner, Sandy Ventrone of Akron; sister, Darlene E. O’Connell of Youngstown; daughters, Jamie (Doug) Still of Cuyahoga Falls and Donna (Michael) Torkos of Windermere, FL; grandson, Brendan John Cleary; granddaughter, Kayla Marie Torkos; friend, Nancy Cleary; and many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you from the family goes to the wonderful, kind and compassionate nurses and doctors at Summa Healthcare. A Celebration of Life Memorial is being planned for a later time.
