John J. Keres

John J. Keres age 77, of Brunswick.

Was born March 13, 1947 and passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2024 after a long fight with cancer. He served in the Air Force and was stationed in Vietnam. Beloved husband, partner and best friend to Anne (Nehonsky) for the last 33 years. 

Preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Petroff; father, George; brother, Larry Petroff; and daughter, Jolene Decker Keres. He left behind his wife, Anne; children, John (Tammy), Michael, Kristen, Matthew, Lisa (Erich), and Melissa; and sister, Susan(Norm). Grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 3.

John will be remembered most for his courageous fight for life and the “never give up” attitude. He was a pure miracle to make it through all he went through with a sense of humor and willing to help whenever he could. He will be dearly missed and thought of every day.
