Joseph D. Mccaulley

Joseph D. McCaulley 66, walked on the fairway of glory October 18, 2022 after a brief yet courageous battle with cholangiocarcinoma.

Joe was born May 30, 1956 to James R. and Ruth E. McCaulley. He was a life resident of East Sparta and Dellroy. He was the Sr. Vice President, licensed electrician and estimator for the family-owned Ridge Electric Co., Inc.

On December 3, 1994, he married Donna and together they built a life and raised two exceptional children.

An exemplary storyteller and unfiltered political authority, Joe entertained family and friends with his humor, quick-witted and mischievous tales. Always puttering around the homestead; he was rarely idle.

A sports enthusiast, Joe enjoyed the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland “Indians”, NASCAR, Formula One Racing and golf.

An avid golfer, retiring May 30, 2015 his favorite pastime was playing 18 holes with the “good old boys” at Carroll Meadows. Traveling country roads with his “girls” Nellie and Rose, recently attended the Model T Ford Club International 65

annual tour driving his 1927 Ford Model T Tudor Sedan, Rose.   One of Joe’s greatest accomplishments was being called Poppy by the joys of his life.

Joe is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Chalynne (Dillon) Moore and Treg (Miranda) McCaulley; grandchildren, Hailey, Wiatt, Camryn, Addison, Makenna, Hadley, Genevieve and baby McCaulley due January 2023; his mother, Ruth and her partner, Paul; mother-in-law, Anne; siblings, Barbara, Sherry, Gregory and Jim.

He was preceded in death by his father, James McCaulley; father-in-law, Harry Stewart Sr; brother, Paul McCaulley; grandparents, Robert and Margaret McCaulley and Henry and Neva Burkhart.

Respecting the wishes of a man loved beyond measure, there will be no memorial services. A celebration of a life well lived is being planned for May 2023. Condolences and special memories of Joe can be shared with his family online at
