Joseph Michael Watford

Joseph Michael Watford, 65, of Akron, left us entirely too soon on January 21st, 2022. He was born on November 15th, 1956 to the late Roberta Watford whom he loved very much. This Garfield High School Graduate eventually grew into the hardworking husband and father we all knew and loved, while doing sales work at Trumbull Industries. Outside of work he enjoyed bowling for his work league, going to baseball games with his loving daughter, and laying in his chair watching whatever show he thought was good with his wife.

Joseph is following his mother, Roberta Watford; mother-in-law, Phyllis Kurtz; sister-in-law, Pamela Rich; and two loving grandparents who raised him into the afterlife.

He leaves behind his wonderful wife of 30 years, Sue Watford; his greatest gift and only child, Marissa (Shiloh) Watford; father-in-law, Milton Kurtz; numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws who loved him.

No formal services will be held but rather a Celebration of Life that will be held at 3pm on February 19th, 2022, at Picks at PLX, 530 Portage Lakes Drive, Akron, OH 44319. Condolences and special memories of Joseph can be shared with his family online at
