Julie Ann James went to heaven in the late afternoon on April 11th, 2023. Her life began and ended at Mercy Hospital. She was born on April 27th, 1990 and was a lifelong resident of Stark County.
Even though she never spoke a word, she could always get her point across to both family and caregivers. Julie loved everything Disney. She also enjoyed her computer, coloring and organizing everything. She was a fan of bubble baths, bossing people around and walking at the Canton Garden Center.
Throughout her life she received extensive support from the Stark County Board of DD. As an infant, Julie attended Eastgate Early Childhood Center then attended Rebecca Stallman Southgate School. She graduated in 2011.
After graduation she lived in her own home with caregivers with family assisting to all of her needs.
We would like to thank the Stark County Board of DD for their support throughout her life. We are also thankful to Julie’s caregivers who helped to keep her happy and safe.
Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary James Leath and grandmother, Judy James Hesse.
She is survived by her father, Craig James, stepmom, Denise James; sisters Jennifer James and Jessica (Dan) Dellostritto; grandmother, Helen Kowalski; grandfathers, Rudy Hesse and Thomas Kowalski; niece, Rowan; nephew, Bennett; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
