Leland R. Von Ach, age 94, passed away on June 13, 2019. He was born April 15, 1925 in Rushville, Illinois to the late John and Ethel Von Ach. He was a WWII veteran and a survivor of D-Day in Normandy. Lee was a long term resident of the Akron, Ohio area. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace with over 30 years of service. He loved music and performed on the piano with many people. His favorite music was Dixieland Jazz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Ethel Hopkins, and great grandson Jacob Thomas.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years, Ida Von Ach, son, Leland J. (Belinda) Von Ach, grandchildren, John (Shauna) Hopkins, Victoria (Joseph) Kowalczyk, Samantha (Clay) Von Ach and William Von Ach, great- grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan and Haylee Hopkins, Jeffrey and Jayde Thomas, Joseph (JAK) and Gabriel Kowalczyk.
Lee was cremated and his remains will be interred in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio on a date yet to be determined.
