Leone Peloso, Jr., 77, of North Canton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio, due to health complications. Leone was born in Alliance, Ohio, on February 14, 1947 to Leone and Rosalia (Benvenuti) Peloso.
Leone was an avid bowler, hunter and loved to fish. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as an Intelligence Analyst during the Vietnam War. After Leone was honorably discharged, he held many positions of employment, including District Manager for Rite Aid Corporation, Night Manager for Parkways Lanes in Alliance, and Security Guard for Nationwide Insurance, where he retired in 2015, when his eyesight became a challenge. Leone always looked forward to his visits at the VA Blind Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland. His trips to the center were memorable by allowing him to gain confidence in life skills and personal achievements. In addition to his trips, he enjoyed his time with local groups including the Canton Blind Veterans Group, the Louisville Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Blind Veterans Association.
Leone was preceded in death by his parents; son, Anthony Peloso; and brother, Robert Peloso.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Brick) Peloso; son, Todd (Kristin) Peloso; brother, Lester Peloso; grandchildren, Dominic and Charlotte Peloso; many nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends who loved him.
