Linda (Morris) Cook passed away on Mother’s Day Morning, May 9, 2021. She was born on December 6, 1948 in Canton, Ohio to Ruth and Harley Morris. She attended Timken Vocational High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. She attended Canton Business College for Accounting. She retired from Acme Foods after 17 years, with many of those years as floral shop manager. She was a leader in the Women’s Auxiliary of the Floyd Hughes VFW local 693 in Canton, Ohio. After moving to Fayetteville, North Carolina, Linda continued her passion for helping others by becoming involved with St. Patrick’s Parrish social committee.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Morris, and husband of 46 years, Eugene Cook.
Linda leaves behind her sisters, Brenda Morris and Joanna McCool; children, Thomas (Shelly) Turpin, Cynthia Turpin, Pete (Sharon) Cook, and David (Alicia) Cook; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
