Lori Musisca-Boyer
Mar 11, 1960 – Dec 04, 2016
Lori Lynn Musisca-Boyer completed her earthly journey December 4, 2016 after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Preceded in death by her father and mother Anthony Joseph Musisca and Alice Mae Musisca. She is survived by her best friend and love of her life, her husband Don W. Boyer, whom she married July 19, 2014. Also survived by her sister Diane (Bruce) Mencer, nephew Jeremy (Abby) Mencer, niece Jennifer Jones, great nephew Trent Jones and great nieces Audrey Jones and Becca Jones. Also survived by her mother-in-law Edith Boyer, stepdaughters Chrissy (Ryan) Stein and Angie (James) McAnally, granddaughters Ashley Boyer and Trinity McAnally, and grandsons Tristin Boyer and CJ McAnally.
Lori was a lover of life and nature. She loved spending time sitting in her backyard (her piece of heaven on earth) under the pergola that Don built for her, listening to the birds and looking at her beautiful roses or after dark sitting next to her buddy in front of fire. She actually loved cutting the grass and told us that she missed being able to do so when she got too weak. Lori loved her family and was in turn, loved greatly by them. Her niece and nephew always consider her their second mom and she loved them as though they were her children. Her sister Diane was her greatest confidant and the two of them began a closeness after the early passing of their mother that, like a fine wine, only improved with age.
Lori was always one to look for the best in people and go out of her way to help those she could. It is because of this and so much more that she will be greatly missed by a large number of friends she made while on this journey we call life. She will also be missed by her faithful cat Duncan, who finds himself wandering through the house looking for her.
Per her request there will be no calling hours or funeral service. There will instead be a memorial service to celebrate her life which will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, Lori would appreciate donations made in her honor to:
