Lynn Sabo, 72, was surrounded by her family as she went home to be with the Lord on the evening of July 6, 2022. She is survived by her son, Mike (wife, Erika), and brother, Jim (wife, Debbie).
Lynn was born on June 20, 1950 to Donald Lee and Nituna Marie Thornton at Fairview Park Hospital in Cleveland. She grew up in Parma and North Royalton and attended both Valley Forge and North Royalton high schools. She graduated from Baldwin Wallace College (B.S., Chemistry and Biology) and became a scientist, spending most of her career at the Sherwin-Williams Breen Technology Center in downtown Cleveland. Lynn loved nature, astronomy, gardening, science fiction (particularly Ray Bradbury), and music, including The Beatles, Tom Petty, and Electric Light Orchestra. Above all, she loved to travel – especially to national parks including Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Zion, Glacier, and Banff.
We will love you forever, and we greatly look forward to seeing you again in glory. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Lynn’s name to First Baptist Church of Strongsville, where she was baptized and became an active member, or Camp Cheerful, where she spent many happy hours working with horses and children. Please see below for donation information.
A memorial service will be held on July 23rd at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Strongsville.
