Lynne Shuman

Lynne Marie Shuman of Canton, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on January 11, 2024. She was a young and spirited 73 years old.

As a wife, mother, sister, friend and more…she leaves behind her loving family members and friends, a flock of children and grandchildren and her beloved pets.

Lynne was a dedicated and tough woman who persevered through all of life’s challenges. And yet…despite these challenges, she stayed the course of being an authentic, caring, compassionate and loving woman who would give you the coat off her back in a snow storm if you were cold. She could light up a room with her grace, smile and infectious laughter.

She was genuine and kind in her being as witnessed by her many years of volunteering at her church. Her belief in God was strong and her heart was huge…and no matter how tired she was, her compassion for those in need never wavered.

Her greatest love, though…was her late husband Scott…whom she is now reunited with…dancing together across the colors of universe while being guided by the Light of God.

Lynne did not wish to have a funeral. Instead, she was very clear that we celebrate her life. And to honor her wish, there will be just that - a celebration of her life on Tuesday, 1/16 at 4:30p at the Crossroads United Methodist Church – Harmont…3412 Harmont Ave NE Canton, Ohio. This is open to all…a chance for family and friends to gather and share all sorts of fond memories…and remember the joy, light and laughter she brought to everyone.
