Lynnette Marie (Browning) Willis, 71, of Millersburg Ohio (originally from Elyria, Ohio) passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 28, 2025 at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, after a long illness.
Lynnette was born in Elyria, Ohio on July 11, 1953 to Patricia (nee McAvena) and Bruce Browning. She was a 1971 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School.
Lynnette lived in Millersburg and was employed by R & R Minerals, Inc.
Lynnette will be dearly missed by her son, Robert (Terri) Willis of Louisville, Kentucky; brothers, Timothy (Leslie) Browning of Lagrange, Ohio, Christopher (LuAnn) Browning, of Smithfield, Utah, Michael Browning, of Elyria, Ohio; sisters, Colleen (Michael) Lapos, of Clermont, Florida, and Kathleen Gates of Elyria, Ohio; 3 nephews, 4 nieces, and 9 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa in 2006, mother, Patricia in 2015, and father, Bruce in 2020.
Lynnette loved the sunshine, and living on a beach in Florida, spending time collecting shells and reading novels based on her beloved Amish country was her idea of heaven on earth. She loved having family visit and would often host dinners as caring for others brought her joy. She enjoyed crocheting, often gifting her creations to her family and friends. Lynnette loved watching movies and could often be found enjoying a romantic comedy or lively musical as she puttered around her kitchen. She loved sunflowers, the color yellow, warm breezes and helping her family in many meaningful ways. She sent encouraging messages, quotes, memes, and inspirational notes to her friends and family daily, always striving to have a positive outlook and finding the good in every situation. She leaves a lasting impression of kindness, generosity of spirit, and joy that is irreplaceable.
Lynnette’s family wishes to thank the wonderful, caring team at Rae-Ann Westlake Nursing and Rehabilitation facility, where she resided for last 1.5 years.
