Marcella Floyd

Marcella Floyd, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on July 30, 1954 to parents Edward Floyd Sr. and Waneda Floyd (nee’ Wilson), the second of three children.

Marcella had a close bond throughout her life with both of her brothers, the late Eddie Floyd and Ronnie Floyd. She graduated from West Virginia University, and was an elementary teacher for over 30 years. Marcella had a love of history, a passion she shared with her father, late brother Eddie, and niece Kari. She aimed to make her home a gathering place for her family to celebrate birthdays and holidays. Marcella loved being involved in her church, and was involved in womens’ ministries for years.

She is survived by her younger brother Ronnie Floyd, nieces Kari (Daniel) and Heather, sister-in-law Joyce, step-niece Rachel, and step-nephews Michael and Raymond.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and oldest brother Edward “Eddie” Floyd, Jr. Marcella will be missed by all family and friends who knew her. Private family celebration. Burial to take place at Riverside Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday, October 28, 2022.
