Marianne Sulak

The family of Marianne Sulak announces with great sorrow her passing on November 7, 2021, while in hospice at Rae-Ann Nursing Home in Westlake. Born November 2, 1956, the cherished daughter of Method (Ted) and Bertha Sulak. Marianne is survived by her loving brothers and sisters Clifford Sulak, Bernadine Candow (William), Deborah Norris (Patrick) Christine Mauersberger (George) and Annette Graham (Keith) and is preceded in death by Ronald, Claudia, Michael, Joseph, and Method Jr. (Ted), who are missed by us all.

She was generous with her love and care as a registered nurse at Cleveland Clinic in the Subacute department also as a family liaison RN and was proud of her work at Stella Maris. Marianne was a wonderful friend and cherished aunt and sister. She will be missed by so, so many.

Let’s remember her love of people-she would spark a conversation with anyone anywhere, always asking where you came from or what you did for a living. She is remembered by so many for always bringing baked goods to people in recovery. She loved the color purple and always found a way to co-ordinate color and flowers into her outfits. Marianne surrounded herself with beautiful things and loved to gift others with the treasures she bought. She loved music from the 60’s to the 80’s and knew the lyrics to almost every song. She loved to learn about history, especially the way WWII fractured the old country where our families came from. She had a talent for healing and came to the aid of anyone who needed her, even while she struggled with her own health problems, until it was time to let go.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be said at 11:30 AM Saturday, November 27, 2021, at St Adalbert Catholic Church, 66 Adalbert St, Berea OH 44017. A reception will be held directly afterwards at the Keller Center at the church. Please join us to share stories about Marianne and celebrate her life.
