Marilyn Sue Ellison

Marilyn Sue Ellison, age 88, passed away on December 15, 2024, in Dover, Ohio. Born on February 25, 1936 to the late Howard and Ida Mae DeYarmon, Sue lived a life of dedication to her faith, family and career. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Ellison, and together they shared many cherished moments. 

Professionally, Sue spent many years as an Administrative Assistant and also worked in Word Processing at Nationwide Insurance, where her warm demeanor and her attention to detail was valued by her colleagues. 

Sue loved playing cards and games, bringing joy and a competitive spirit to each gathering. Her love for these activities was a testament to her lively and engaging personality, which will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. 

Sue is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Tricia and Dan Yarabinec of Sharpsville, PA, and Rob and Tina Ellison of Wake Forest, NC. 

She was a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will miss her deeply. 

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin Yarabinec.

She is survived by four sisters: Carolyn Morrison, Joanie Jenkins, Judy Coffield and Linda Carpenter as well as her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Norma Burkholder.

She also loved many of her nieces and nephews.

Sue's life was one of fellowship and quiet moments, deeply felt by her family and friends. Her legacy and resilience will continue to live on through her loved ones.
