Mark Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Smith, 66, on July 1, 2024 at the Compassionate Care Center in Canton, OH.

Son of Francis and Sadie (Erwin), Mark was born on February 14, 1958 in Canton. After graduating from Central Catholic High School, he completed a Master Craft apprenticeship at Republic Steel where he remained employed for 25 years. He further honed his skills at Frito-Lay in Wooster before retirement. A truly gifted electrician and mechanic, Mark enjoyed sharing his expertise with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his selflessness, comedic sense of humor and deep love for his wife and boys. 

Mark was preceded in heaven by his parents. He is survived by his beloved spouse of 41 years, Renee; their children, Nicholas (Michelle) and Jacob (Ying); grandchildren, Claire and Audrey. He also leaves behind cherished extended family members including mother-in- law, Rosie, brother-in-law, Johnny, sister-in-law, Lisa and a very special Auntie. 

Honoring his wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours. A family Celebration of Life will be held on a future date.
