Mary “Jean” DiMassa, age 80 of Fairview Park, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on July 3, 2020
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Anthony Guardi of Cleveland, Ohio.
Mary Jean attended St. Joseph’s Academy High School in Cleveland, where she sharpened her love for art and ballet. Her appreciation for art carried on throughout her life shown in her various Fine Art book collections of Master painters, her flower arrangements and her decorating style. After she raised her children, her adventurous spirit would often take her on short trips with family and friends. Mary’s Italian heritage was easily found in her no-nonsense attitude, in her delicious cooking and the feasts she would prepare for holidays and other family gatherings and occasions. The importance of Italian traditions and family recipes never diminished.
She always showed her love and support through her willingness to listen. She never wavered to remind others to pray through a problem, to forgive and not to lose faith in God. She was very proud of her family and would often tell about their latest achievements. Her legacy of art appreciation, fine food, family and faith will live on in the hearts of her family.
Mary Jean is survived by her loving children; Michael (Nana) DiMassa, Donna (Donald) Geib, Daniel DiMassa and Anthony (Susan) DiMassa.
