Matthew John King

Matthew John King was born on September 15, 1969 and passed away on November 22, 2024 at the age of 55. He was born in Akron, Ohio but grew up in Freedom Township / Garrettsville, Ohio. He was a handyman, often working for homeowners doing various repair work for them. He was a roofer for many years. Matt was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish, camp and hike through the woods. Always telling a story, he could make anyone laugh. He loved his family dearly.

Matt is survived by his daughter Hailey King; his twin brother Michael King; sister Patricia Keenan; sister Mary Schaefer (Tom); nephews Steve, Tom, Josh, Tom and Scott; and niece Vicki. He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick M. King I and Carolyne (Schossler) King and his brother Frederick M. King II.

A private graveside burial will be held mid-December. He will be buried next to his mom, dad and brother at Drakesburg Cemetery in Freedom Township. Condolences and special memories of Matt can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
