Michael Terry Hosler, 81, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Ames Family Hospice House. He was born October 8, 1943, in Findlay, Ohio. A graduate of Findlay High School, Mike enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Philadelphia where he served as a hospital corpsman. Upon discharge, Mike earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Findlay College. He was employed at the U.S. General Accounting Office in Cleveland for 21 years as a management auditor and later worked for NASA as budget analyst until his retirement in 2003.
Mike was an avid runner earlier in life, competing in local 5K and 10K races. He enjoyed walking in recent years. He also loved watching Cleveland sports and OSU football, reading, and spending time with his four granddaughters. In his retirement, Mike also enjoyed spending winters in Sarasota, Florida with his wife.
Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue (Bremfoerder); his children: Matthew Hosler (Marla) of Miamisburg, Kami (Paul) Jarvis of Powell; grandchildren: Morgan, McKenna, Ella and Lottie, and sister, Jane (Tim) Becraft of Pine Mountain, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred Hosler; and sister, Kettie Sue Foisel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 7 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 28455 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, with Rev. Charles Woodward officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 AM with services beginning at 11 AM. A luncheon will immediately follow at the church.
