Michael P. Hite, Sr.

Michael P. Hite Sr., age 63, husband of the late Mary (nee Markul) passed away in Beachwood, Ohio on Monday, March 19, 2018 as a result of complications stemming from an eight month fight with ALS.  He was born April 30, 1954 in Garfield Heights, Ohio to the late John L. Hite Jr. and Juanita M. Hite (nee Bell).  He attended Garfield Heights High School and worked for Portage Roofing (Prime Roof Solutions) for 30 years until his retirement, and learned to be a mechanic, construction trades, electrician, plumber, etc., you name it… Mike would learn it and master it in order to better serve others.

He was the father of Michael (Heather) Hite, Jr. of Ravenna, Ohio, Mathew (Nannette) Hite  of Ravenna, Ohio, and Meghan (Justin) White of Garrettsville, Ohio; also survived by his sisters Joanne Tagliarina, Carol (Cefaratti) Woods, Linda (Joey) Runt, brothers John L. (Mary Jane) Hite III, and Richard Hite (Carla) (deceased); grandfather of 8; stepfather of 11 and loving uncle of over 75.

Mike was a friend to many and always willing to help others in need.  He never learned to say “No” to those who needed help and was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.
