Milton Kurtz Jr

TOGETHER AGAIN

Milton Kurtz Jr, age 95 of Akron, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on June 21st, 2024. He was born on October 6th,1928 to the late Milton and Della Young Kurtz. 

Milton was a PFC in the US Seventh Army having served in Germany before retiring from GenCorp in 1996. Milton's greatest joys in life included long drives with no destinations, spending countless hours outside in his garden, relaxing with an ice cold glass of buttermilk while watching the Wheel of Fortune which he did nightly, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Kline; his daughters, Kathy Jenkins, and Sue Watford; his daughter in law, Phyllis Kurtz; his son in law, Bob Rich; grandchildren, Christopher (Rebecca) Kurtz, Tara Kurtz, Stephanie Blanche, Marissa (Shiloh) Watford McCourt, Sean Rich, Jacob Rich, and Sarah Rich; and his great grandchildren, Brayden, Avalyn, Rayvn, Logan, Mason, and Oliver. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, whom he married on August 27th, 1955 and spent an amazing 63 years with Phyllis Kurtz; his daughter Pamela Rich; his son, Steven Kurtz; son in law, Joseph Watford, sisters, Hazel Bowersox, Edna Reed, Grace Rusk, Phyllis Kurtz, and Helen Burley: brothers, Cletus Kurtz, Walter Kurtz, and Elmer Kurtz.
