Miriam Jo Tomasek (née) Sepesy, passed away December 16, 2020. She was born May 1, 1936 to the late Elsie Armstrong and Joseph Sepesy. Miriam will always be remembered barefoot, tending her garden, surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren that she welcomed into her home throughout her life. Miriam loved to bowl, ballroom dancing, and spent many Saturday nights on the dance floor with Jim and her many friends that she truly cherished over the years. Her house was the center of fun for her family, swimming in the summer and eating chicken paprikash on Christmas Eve. She was always there if you needed advice, and she loved to talk reminiscing about growing up on the west side of Cleveland on the hill above Brookside Park. She will remain in our hearts as the loving soul that she was, tall and beautiful, forever young.
In addition to her parents, Miriam was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Tomasek and daughter, Miriam Jeanette.
Miriam is survived by her children, Laurie Minute, Joan (Bob) Gallo, Jean (Michael) Budowanec, and Linda (Mark) Sturgeon; grandchildren, Samantha, Ann Marie, John, Phillip, Jeanette, Elise, Michael, Amanda, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Millie, Steven, Thomas, Kaylee, Zander, and Jack; siblings, John Joseph (Frances) Sepesy, Elsie (Paul) Haney, and Eloise (John) Minute. She was the beloved cousin, aunt, and great-aunt to many.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo, 5891 Ridge Rd., Parma, Ohio. Masks are mandatory at the church due to Covid mandates.
