Nancy (Frye Denbrock) Beecher passed away November 16

, 2021, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where she resided the past 14 months. She was born May 18

th

, 1926, in Washington, DC to the late Bernard and Mildred (Trussell) Frye, the oldest of 3 children. The family moved to Akron, Ohio where she attended King School and graduated from West HS on D Day June 6

th

, 1944. She then attended Northwestern University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, graduating from the school of business in 1948. Nancy then worked as a Millinery Buyer for Polsky’s Department Store in Akron before marrying Charles Denbrock in 1953 and starting a family.  Charlie’s job with Goodyear took them to Los Angeles, back to Akron, to Dallas, and again back to Akron in 1963.

Nancy remarried in 1975 to Don Beecher and moved to his hometown of Kirkwood, Missouri. Don passed away in 1984, and Nancy remained in the St. Louis area for 45 years where she made many close friends.

Nancy was very active in Delta Gamma, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a member of St. Thomas Holy Spirit Church. She enjoyed traveling, going to the movies, theater, concerts, listening to Big Band music (Duke Ellington was her favorite), watching old movies on TCM, French food, staying in touch with friends, and dressing to the nines.

In addition to her parents Nancy is preceded in death by husbands, Charles Denbrock and Brydon Beecher; sister, Barbara Miller; son-in-law, Frank Corbi; niece, Frances Miller; and nephew, Christopher Miller.

Survived by her son, Cam (Cara) Denbrock; daughter, Dabney Denbrock Corbi; granddaughter, Annie Denbrock, whom she was very proud of; her brother, Bernie (Karen) Frye; 7 nieces and nephews and their families.

Nancy will be remembered for her optimism and kind nature. The family is grateful to the residents and staff at Covenant Place in St Louis, where Nancy lived happily for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls for their kindness and care.

Services will be held Saturday, December 11

, at 12:15 p.m. in the Holy Family Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E Waterloo Rd. Akron. Lunch at the Waterloo Restaurant 423 E.
