Neljean Markham

Neljean Markham, age 89, of Alliance passed away on April 11, 2022 at Altercare of Alliance.

Neljean was born June 21, 1932 to Donald and Shirley (Downing) Milner.

A 1951 graduate of Alliance High School, Neljean worked as a secretary at Lexington Elementary School and later as a library secretary at Marlington High School. She very much-loved working with and helping students of all ages. She loved traveling, playing cards, crafting, sewing, camping and most of all was an avid reader. She was a member of the Ohio Association of Public-School Employees, AARP, Alliance Area Senior Center and an RV Caravan Club.

Neljean is survived by her husband, Bruce whom she married on January 30, 1953; her four children, Randy (Sue) Markham, Kim (Doug) Cully, Leigh Conrad and Jeffrey (Karen) Markham; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren all who were very beloved; her very special friends, Linda and Tilly whom she loved very much and who were so  good to her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and George Sacco and her son-in-law, Randy Conrad.

The family will receive visitors at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 15

, 2022, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church of Alliance with Sue DeHoff officiating.
