, 1963 in Barberton, Ohio to Louis and Shirley (Newell) Ule. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Noreen married the love of her life, Ralph Johnson, on March 26
th
, 1983. They were happily married for 19 years before Ralph’s death. Noreen will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unparalleled sense of humor. She led a full life dedicated to helping others. After graduating from Norton High School in 1981, she began her career as a beauty technician. During this time, she also worked as caregiver to elderly patients, becoming a surrogate daughter to each of them. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Barberton and Akron General Hospitals for 30 years where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and humor. Too, Noreen worked at Akron General-Cleveland Clinic Hospital for 10 years at the information desk. She loved her job and all she worked with especially “her volunteers.”
To those who knew her, she was treasured for her amazing capacity for love as well as her quick wit, pranks, and inevitable ability to make you smile and laugh. She selflessly opened her heart and home to people in need. In perfect harmony with her altruism was her fun nature. She loved to dance, loved to laugh and was always the life of any party. Her most precious moments were the days she spent with her granddaughter. Noreen loved her family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Noreen is preceded in death by grandparents, parents, her husband, stepson, and special family friend, Pete Miller.
Noreen is survived by long-time partner, Jerry McElroy; daughter, Brittanie (Darnell) Johnson Vickers; granddaughters, Grace Johnson and Lilly Vickers, of Akron; siblings, Terry (Ule) Krall of Dayton and Louis (Jackie) Ule of Norton; and special cousin (sis), Sandy Tryon.
