Palma “Pam” VanValkenburg, born January 4, 1934 to Anthony and Ida Pasqualle, peacefully passed on December 31, 2024 after a well-lived life of 90 years. She joins her beloved husband, Tom, with whom she was married for over 50 years. Pam is survived by her son, Scott (Marta); daughter, Lisa (Tom); grandchildren, Mallory (Satbir), Holly, Katie and Thomas; sisters, Jeanette and Carol (Dan); and numerous nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
Pam loved travelling and spent decades exploring the United States with Tom in their RV. She also cherished her time on Scott and Marta’s farm, enjoying the meadows, rescued animals, sunsets, and cocktails. She spent many years visiting Columbus to enjoy her grandchildren’s gymnastics meets, dance recitals, theatre performances and equestrian shows. She was passionate about football, cheering on the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. She made close friends everywhere she went.
A celebration of her life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, January 4 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Tavern of Independence, Independence, Ohio. In lieu of flowers or other gifts donations in her honor can be made to Cleveland APL (ClevelandAPL.org). Condolences and special memories of Pam can be shared with her family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
