On January 19, 2016, Pamela Jay Nelson lost her long battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord.
Pamela went to heaven peacefully with her family at her bedside.
Pamela leaves behind her loving husband, Nels Nelson and daughters Andrea Ramos, Melissa Elko, son in law Juan Ramos and most importantly her precious grandchildren, Natalia Ramos, Elijah Ramos, Juan Ramos, Tyler Elko and Aiden Overacre.
Pamela was born October 24, 1957 to the late Edward, Sr. and Wanda Sue Cagle.
She is also survived by her sisters, Cindy, Shirley, Rhonda, and brothers Edward Jr. and Jeff; nieces, Cassandra Sadler, Cheyenne Sadler, Danielle Wilkinson and nephew Christopher Demchak and all of their precious families, and her dog Ginger.
Mrs. Nelson was especially fond of her granddaughter and best friend Natalia. Pamela fought the cancer hard so she wouldn’t have to leave Natalia. Natalia said that God needed a good helper and Grammy was a good helper. Pam said that when you feel the wind in your face, that it will be her with you forever and ever. Pamela was a loving and caring person and will be missed by her husband, Nels and all of her family until we can all be reunited with her in heaven some day.
The family would like to thank all of her doctors at Southwest General Hospital and the nurses and aide’s at Parkside Villa. Especially Brian “Big Daddy”, her favorite aide and all the tireless work they did to help make her transition to heaven more peaceful and comfortable. Thank you all so much.
A memorial service will be Monday, January 25, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. at North Olmsted Evangelical Friends Church, 5665 Great Northern Blvd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. A reception will follow.
