Patrick Brian Devitt of Canton, Ohio passed peacefully away at University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center July 9

, 1964 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Wanda and Kenneth Devitt. Patrick graduated from Canton South High School Class of 1983. While in school, Patrick and his buddies formed a rock band called Bad Weather. They played at area homecomings and theaters. Patrick’s love of music never faded (just ask his speakers). Patrick served 5 years in the US Army 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles. He was a proud combat vet while serving in Gulf War Operation Desert Storm. After the military, he became a journeyman roofer. He was a forever Cleveland Browns fan, always exciting to watch the games with him as many a hat and expletives were thrown. Several years ago, Patrick became involved with TNR, he saved many a cat.
In addition to his parents, Patrick is preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Thomas and Eddie Devitt.
Patrick leaves behind his son, Forrest Thomas Devitt of Oklahoma; sisters, Pamela Devitt, Anna (Todd) Kistner; two nephews, Aaron and Adam Kistner all of Canton; his loving girlfriend, Kathy Turner of New Franklin; and his fur babies.
