Paula Lou (Spurlock) Bowling, beloved mother to Taylor Bowling, 34, of Fairview Park, Ohio, passed away on April 19, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born February 2, 1954, in St. Albans, West Virginia, the daughter of Virginia Yoder Spurlock and Oscar Leo Spurlock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Pamela Spurlock Boggess; life partner of many years, Joseph Paul Popoczy; and great nephew, Alex Williams.

Paula attended St. Albans High School before going to work at Union Carbide as a Chemical Lab Technician. She went on to start a successful career in sales with Ameritech and retired from AT&T.

Paula was a devoted mother to Taylor, her pride and joy. She took special joy in being an active and loving grandmother to Chloe and Carter and had fond memories of spending summers together going to the pool, baking many delicious treats, and doing fun arts and crafts projects together.

Paula is survived by her daughter, Taylor Bowling (Andrew); grandchildren, Chloe and Carter Mushat; sister, Jane Carpenter-Hereford; sister, Beverly Hill (Richard); nieces and nephews, Shelley Bowman; Ginny Bowman Nelson (Sam); Christopher Bowman (Rachel); Ginny Leigh Boggess (Kristin); Nathaniel Adam Boggess (Harmony), Matthew Sayre (Tabatha), and Nickie Sayre; great nieces and nephews, CJ Bowman (Megan); Kasie Ferrari (Hunter); Braelyn Sayre; Madison Sayre; Blake Sayre; and life long friend, Kay Phalen Davis who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
