Paulette Marleen Ross, 76, of North Canton, OH, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 11, 2022. Born July 16, 1946 in Sewickley, PA, she was a daughter of the late Paul Sovak and Mary Ann (Bozic) Sovak. Most recently, Paulette retired from SummaCare in 2011 but shared her talents in the many places her family resided throughout her marriage, including Atlanta, St. Louis, Lake Charles, Houston, Walnut Creek, San Antonio, North Canton, Baton Rouge, Bossier City and Beaumont. Surrounded by many animals throughout her life, especially her beloved Newfoundlands Brenna, Huxley and Emma and cat Buster, she was an avid gardener, cook, reader, skilled in drawing and painting, immensely creative and generous with her time and a loving wife, mother, sister and dear friend to many.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ross was recently preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James Allen Ross.
Paulette is survived by her son, Jason (Erin Howard) of Shrewsbury, MA and daughter, Jaclyn Shepard (Drew) of McLean, VA. In addition, she is survived by four grandchildren, Alexandra Ross, Ash Ross, Lauren Shepard and Logan Shepard. Also surviving are her sister, Janet O’Dessa and brother, Paul Sovak, along with nieces and many cousins.
A service will be held Saturday, December 17 at 12:30pm at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home 303 S Chapel St Louisville, OH 44641. Memorial donations may be made in Paulette’s name to The Newfoundland Club of America, ncacharities.org, or The American Rose Society, rose.org.
