Peggy Joan Rogers Gish was born April 3, 1938, in Gassaway, West Virginia, to Thomas Grant Rogers and Clara Opal Brady Rogers. She had one brother, Thomas Jay Rogers. She graduated from Rittman High School in Ohio. She married Charles Richard Gish on September 5, 1959. They built their home on a farm in North Lawrence, Ohio and were married for over 57 years before his passing in 2017. With the help of a loving and loyal caregiving team, she was able to remain in her home, as she wished, where she passed of natural causes on August 12, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Ellen Gish, son-in-law, William Wesley Wolf, and one grandson, Wesley Richard Gish-Wolf.
Peggy had a career as an administrative assistant and retired from the Packaging Corporation of America. She and Richard lived long and full lives, sharing many passions. They were inseparable after he retired, and she missed him dearly after his passing. They were truly blessed with many close friends to travel through life with and treasured the times they shared. She also enjoyed family, travel, flying, hobby club, reading, farming, pets, crocheting, rug hooking, fishing, gardening, canning, caning, upholstering, quilting, classic car restoration, boat restoration, painting, wood burning, wood carving, and bird watching.
