Ralph Virgil Fleming

October 16, 1940 — October 28, 2024

Cleveland

Ralph Virgil Fleming was born in Cleveland, Ohio October 16, 1940 to Mayme (Frizzy) and Earl Fleming Sr. He spent most of his childhood and teenage years living on and tending to his grandparents farm in Hitchens, Kentucky alongside his beloved big brother Earl Fleming.

Ralph loved music, especially bluegrass and rock and roll. In his younger years, he spent time attending concerts and shows at many of the most famous and niche cleveland music venues.

A diehard Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan, he also (painfully but loyally) loved all Cleveland sports.

Ralph had a unique and beautiful way of bringing a sense of calm and care to our world. He was a devoted and deeply dependable father to his daughters, Jennifer and Jessalyn, And Jennifer‘s husband, Jason. Ralph was an unwavering grandfather to Joseph, Jayla, Zachary, Matthias, and Eveliz (and her children, A.J and Mason) Ralph welcomed his first great grandson the week before saying goodbye- to Joseph with his first son, Forrest Fleming. The pride and joy it brought him in his last days was immeasurable.

Ralph passed peacefully at home surrounded by love, comfort and his family Monday, October 28, 2024.

Ralphs kindness, authentic optimism and noble nature will be cherished and shared through his family and lifelong friends for many years to come. In his 84 years on this earth, he most definitely secured a place of endless gratitude in all of our hearts and he will be missed deeply.

We will be receiving friends & family at Jennifer and Jason’s home for a celebration of life Saturday, November 2nd 4-8pm all who knew and loved him are welcome.  10201 Munich Drive, Parma, OH 44130.   Condolences and special memories of Ralph can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
