Richard Judd Hammer

Richard Judd Hammer of Massillon, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025 at the age of 84.

Richard was born on August 4, 1940 to Donald and Isabelle Hammer in Council Bluffs, Iowa. After he graduated high school, he joined the army and served as a Military Policeman at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. After his service, he settled down in Massillon.

Richard always loved to go thrifting, and getting a good deal. He will be remembered for his wit, humor, and his famous Chicken à la Hammer dish. He leaves us with countless memories, and will be forever missed.

He is survived by his son, William (Keri) and his two grandchildren, Nicholas and Dawson, who he cherished very much. His memory will be forever in our hearts. Condolences and special memories of Richard can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
