Robert Francis Erzen

Robert Francis Erzen died suddenly on January 29,2024 in the company of family. 

 He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ellen (nee Amer), children Anne Erzen, Sara (Tony) Bozich, Mark (Deborah) Erzen, and David Erzen.  He was a loving grandfather to Nick, Brennan, Logan, Nathan, Kora, Davian, Adam, Alexander, Thomas, Nici, Zach, and Kobe.  

Born to Frank and Frances Erzen in Cleveland, Bob graduated from St. Joseph High School and John Carroll University.  He served in the Army Reserve in 1961, attaining the rank of Captain before departing to start a career in Public Relations.  He worked in public relations for various companies, including the Diamond Shamrock Corporation, Dix & Eaton, and retiring from Cuyahoga Community College.  

Bob married Ellen in 1964 and led his family through many travel adventures and shared his love of gardening, boating, and fishing with his family.  He enjoyed many summers with Ellen and family on Lake Erie and Middle Bass Island.  Bob spent his life caring for others and delighting friends, coworkers, and family with his infectious charm and delightful sense of humor.  We all will miss him dearly.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of his life at St. Christopher Parish, 20141 Detroit Road, Rocky River, Ohio 44116 on Saturday, February 3rd.  Receiving friends and family at 9am.  Mass will follow at 10am and a reception in Mary’s Room following Mass.
