Robert (Bob) Mallow of Rootstown went home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2024, after a brave fight with an illness.
Born on October 28, 1955, to the late Donald and Mary Kathryn Mallow in Youngstown OH, Bob was a graduate of Youngstown South. After high school he attended Malone College and Kent State University. He was the owner of Overtime Hobby in Hartville for over 14 years. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, a collector of many things, and a lover of trivia. When he wasn't at his store, he was helping his wife at art shows and comic cons for her business, Pandora's Creations. He loved hosting get togethers, venturing in cosplay, decorating for holidays, grilling out and telling stories. He organized the Rootstown Haunted Trail Trunk or Treat. Most of all, he was a proud father and grandfather/pop pop.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his in-laws, Stanley and Kathleen Roscoe; brother-in-law, Terry Evans; and brothers, Bill Mallow and Ed Confer.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 20 years, Diane (Roscoe) Mallow; his daughters, Denia (Randy) Christman and Jennifer (Scott) Mallow; his grandchildren, Nicole, Van, Chasey, and Gracelyn; his sister-in-law, Alison Evans; his nephews, Thad and Austin; his brother-in-law, Michael (Nerissa) Roscoe; and his brother, Craig (Cathy) Mallow; plus, many friends, business colleagues, and customers.
The family wants to send a special thanks to family friends, Evan Morgan, Tonya Coy, and Tristian Lockhard for all their help with taking care of Bob, as well as the nurses and doctors at UH Portage Medical Center. Also, thank you to Aaron for taking care of the store. Also a big thank you to Interim Healthcare, especially to Candi, Brayden and Ashley for working so hard with Bob.
There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Condolences and special memories of Bob can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob's honor to The Dane Foundation and Miss Wheelchair USA; two organizations that were very close to Bob's heart. info@thedanefoundation.org
