Robert Shardy Jr

Robert (Rob) Shardy Jr. is now walking with the Lord after passing away at his home in Louisville due to complications from his paralysis and diabetes. Born on June 29, 1972, Rob was a graduate of Field High School, and received his bachelor’s degree from Malone University. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. Rob worked as a mortgage broker, Walt Disney World Cast Member and most recently an Uber/Lyft Driver. He also earned his pilot license. 

Rob was a lover of sports especially the Cleveland Guardians, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He loved coaching his son’s baseball and bowling teams. He was also looking forward to becoming a first-time grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, baby brother, uncle and several cousins. 

He is survived by his parents, Catherine (Don) Calhoun and Robert Shardy Sr. His best friend, Gayle Doney. His sons, Christian (Veronica) Doney and Caleb Shardy. His siblings, Jonathan Shardy, Catherine Remmy, Denia Christman, Donald Shardy, Adam Shardy, Robyn Shardy, Jennifer (Scott) Mallow, and Suzanne Shardy. As well as many nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 5pm at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home. 303 S Chapel Street, Louisville. Condolences and special memories of Rob can be shared with is family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
